A jean purse! A friend gave me her old pair of jeans for this project. This is the purse I made from them and a pillowcase I had on hand.
I think it's great to use up things that would otherwise go to the landfill!I intend to make many more of these, large, med and small and some skirts. I like the skirts that have a jean top with a fuller fabric bottom sewn on.

I have several pairs of pants lying around that this would be a perfect use for....especially for the trousers from an old pin-striped zoot suit I bought at a thrift shop just for the fabric!
I knew there was a reason that I hoard old jeans ;)

Thank you! It was fun! I had to buy another sewing machine in the middle of it :-( but it turned out well, nonetheless. Now I have a better high quality machine to work with! I'm making more and selling them in my Etsy store!
I looooove this little bag. I've been trying to think about what would be the best fabric to use for my next tote bag and you've answered my problem. I'm off to dig out my daughter old jean ;)
